Welcome to the World of
Caenorhabditis elegans

We are using the methods of classical genetics to study the embryonic development of the soil nematode Caenorhabditis elegans. By analysing the deviations from normal development caused by mutations in control genes we hope to understand the general principles and strategies involved in the determination of cell fates. Furthermore we are isolating these genes to study them on a molecular level.
