This package contains the digital version of our analog fourdimensional recording of our embryo #1 (Schnabel et al., 1997). To present the video here, we had to transform it in digital avi files. We apologize for the significant reduction of quality of the pictures which occured during digitizing the pictures. Quality is best if you look at them at 100% video size. Also we had some problems that the digitizing board skipped or duplicated pictures. Therefore the timing of events is sometimes off by one or two minutes or so (note that this first version has a 8 minutes shift). Another problem is that red crosses marking the position of cells are sometimes a little bit off the original position. We will try to fix these problems in the future. However, we hope that the system is also of some help and instructive for you. The system should be only used for tutorial purposes.
CD-Version
If you have any problems with the download of the program or not enough storage capacity on your harddisk, you can get a demo-version of the program on CD. Send us an Email or fax or write us (for the adress look at our homepage).
Installation Notes
| The first release of the trial version of SIMI°BioCell includes examples which optionally require digital video files which can be downloaded seperately. The video files belonging to the example lineages must be placed in the SIMI°BioCell directory in a subdirectory named "DV_#", where "#" stands for the number of the example file. These files are compressed with the Intel Indeo Interactive compressor which can be downloaded at Intel's site. You must install this software otherwise you will not be able to view the video files. Visit the Intel Indeo Homepage to get the newest version for your operating system. |
